So I thought maybe I'd do a get to know me post! Cause I don't even know myself sometimes :-P
So here we go......
1) I'm a hairdresser
Yes that's right peeps! Full fledged fully licensed cosmetologist! Went to Paul Mitchell in February of 2012 to January 2013. Learned a lot, made the Deans list, made a lot of new friends, went to Caper, and broke free of my old life.
I guess you could say it changed my life.
I was starting to go down a path I didn't want to go. With people I didn't want to be friends with.
I freezed my tracks, made some split second decisions, found a apartment, and hit the road to turning my life around! Thank goodness Heavenly Father was always there, even when I didn't realize or had pushed him away!
Number 2!! I have a twin sister!
And I don't mean a friend that is like a twin sister, I mean born 3 minutes apart, identical, opposite personality twin sister.
see isn't she the cutest!!
Shes also my best friend!
We have the best of times together!
I love her more than anything!!!!
okay now number 3) I'm a vegetarian.
I used to eat meat. But that year I was at Paul Mitchell I also changed my eating habits.
Cut out all fast food, meat, most candy, and all caffeine.
I started exercising, eating healthy, and it changed my attitude. I became happy, less moody, a better person so to speak.
Anyways number 4) I play the violin and piano.
Yes its true! My true passion in life is my music! I am giving it up for 18 months of my life to serve a mission. But its worth it!!
Music is my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Number 5) I have a weird personality and strange fashion.
Haha! I've always worn what I wanted to do, danced when I wanted to, sang when ever I felt like it, laughed during the most inappropriate times.
Essentially my life is a living musical! XD
I used to imagine it in black and white tho..........
Or a silent movie XD
So there we have it!
Hope this post wasn't boring or anything :-P
Now I wanna hear from you guys!
Comment below, tell me something I maybe didn't know about you. Cause I wanna hear about it :-D

Connection: Mexico
My life story :-)
I can't wait to get to the CCM. And to serve the people in Idaho!
I know that this gospel is true! That the Savior died for me, so that I could repent and one day go to live with my Heavenly Father!
I only have 5 more days of work left.
I feel like everything is happening so fast!
If I blink I might miss a moment! A moment seeing my mom smiling. A moment laughing and goofing off with my best friend. A moment of being able to work with my dad!
Those moments in the morning where I can just lay there before forcing myself to get up.
I'm ready to embrace the whole missionary life.
Excited really!
Nervous, yes!
Scared, nope!
Prepared, I hope!!
So in 16 days I leave for the biggest adventure of my life yet!

An Experiment in Words
Words can build us up, can bring us down, start a fire in our hearts, or put it out! You can change the world, by changing you're words! These videos really made me think about how our words really do affect people! We can literally make a huge impact on someones life with just the words we say! Do I really want to make someone else feel like they are dirt? Or they have nothing to live for? I had a scary insight today; How do I affect people? I really hope for the better. I hope I left you in positive light, and not starring down a dark alley! And if I ever did hurt you with words, that I'm sorry! And I hope you would forgive me! Cause words are words, once spoken they can never be taken back. I know what its like to be constantly put down with words, I hated how I felt. I never wanted to make another person feel the way I felt in those times! And honestly where do those negative words go? When I started at Paul Mitchell the very first day, they told me it was a new page in my book. Any past mistakes were to be forgotten. They taught me to not only find the true beauty in others, but in myself. And while I always knew who I was, and that I have more worth then society tells me, they taught me a deeper meaning of it. Change the way you see, not the way you look! I know that I will always be learning and building my character the rest of my life! I'll never be able to take a "spring break" so to speak. So long as I'm breathing, I'm learning. And hopefully when ever we part ways my, friends, family, people I may not even know, that we leave each other better.
Just take time this week, today even! to just change one word in you're vocabulary.
I want to change the word - ME to WE. Sometimes I think about myself to much and maybe forget that, hey other people may want to be part of my life! It sounds more inviting. “We” instead of “me” : In my daily interactions with people, I want to try to infuse more consolidating words like ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ etc . Using these words means you are being a team player and that you are bothered enough about the opposite person to include him/her in your life. On the other hand when you use words like “I”, “me”, “myself” all the time, you come across as self involved and self indulgent. For example instead of saying “I am so busy today, and can’t meet up.” say “Can we meet up another time for coffee?”. When you think about others hearts just like your own, we wont hurt them nor will we hurt ourselves. It expands your heart to include everyone and everything in it.
It all really starts with our thoughts, Ira Gassen once said "Be careful of your thoughts; they may become words at any moment.”
Another thing I try and walk away from; Negative conversations. I'm not saying run away. Simply try and change the topic to a more positive topic. Movies and music is a huge thing. We may not even realize what we are putting in our brains. It only takes just one movie, just one song to have it stuck in you're mind. But it takes weeks of putting positive thoughts, listening to good music, interacting with positive people to remove negative thinking.
So just remember, it starts with you're thoughts, and just changing one more at a time.
Lets make a change in this world and leave it better then we found it!

Inspiration!
So this is a new thing, but I think you're gonna like it!
Once a week, probably on Tuesdays, I will be posting about a inspiring person on here. Whither it be about, Woman empowerment, Spiritual Growth, People I admire/Look up to, Someone I might be obsessing over (So if its about a piece of food don't worry) You get the idea :-)
So a little about this person, and why I'm posting about them!
First, she's inspiring, someone in Hollywood you can actually look up you, and at and not feel like "Ugh I'll never look like that, I'm just me!" She reminds me of the sort of thinking I've always had; That society needs to take responsibility of what their doing to Young girls, women. They have woman everywhere thinking they need to be skinny to fit the part. That they need to have lush hair, full lips, perfect makeup! They've destroyed what true beauty really is! True beauty lies within! You don't need to be a size 5 to be gorgeous. Take a stand now and be courageous, stand up for what you really believe in, not what others want you to believe, or what society or the mirror says!
What does true beauty mean?
I've never really cared about being skinny, if I was bigger I would still be me! I would still be this girl that I am and still love the same people! I would rather be fit and strong, not skinny and helpless looking and underfed. Out Society does not need that! We can change the world, but first..... We need to change ourselves. Change the way we think! They call this the "Me Generation" What if we change it to "The Empowerment Generation" We can truly change this world, but we need to work together. Accept everyone for who they are! But most importantly accept ourselves!
So without further ado....
Jennifer Lawrence!
Hope you enjoy! If there's anyone you find EMPOWERING or INSPIRATIONAL

General Conference! Here I learn!
So twice a year something amazing happens.......
Can you guess it??
No!?
Well you got it, General Conference!! (Did I give it away?)
Well this year Elder Bednar has this amazing challenge that I think we should rise up and accept!
Get ready for General Conference by accepting Elder David A Bednar's challenge—also a great FHE idea!
"Get an inexpensive copy of the Book of Mormon and look for examples of people or individuals who received strength beyond their own, & record what you learn. The Spirit will inspire you."
*If you take the challenge, share it and also share your results and use #powertobecome on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and even Pinterest!

See all those meds I have to take :-O *sigh*
I love this! I know it says young adults, but I think everyone, young and old, should do this!
Since I just had a operation I'm in bed all day so this is a perfect thing to do while I'm watching my collection
of Audrey Hepburn movies and M.A.S.H.
I know a lovely sight to see in the morning :-P
So even though I feel in the dumps right now, this is always a good way to perk my spirits up.
I just want to share that I know that whoever takes up this challenge will be blessed for it. The spirit will INSPIRE you! Truly. Make time, even if its just a few minutes everyday. You will be better for it, you will receive strength through it, it will motivate you, and through it, people will see the light that shines through you. So be that beacon of light on a hill, don't cover or hide it. Don't be scared of the world. Stand up for something you believe and be a servant of God! I believe in you, and He believes in you!

H.U.G.S Personal Progress Faith #6
Faith Additional Value Experience #6.
"Increase you're understanding of the plan of salvation. Resources for study include 1 Corinthians 15:22; Revelation 12:7-9; 2 Nephi 9:1-28; 11:4-7; Doctrine and Covenants 76:50-113; 93:33-34; Moses 4:1-4; and Abraham 3:24-27. Draw or obtain a picture that depicts the plan of salvation, including the premortal existence, birth, mortal life, death, judgment, and life after judgement. Using this picture, explain the plan of salvation to you're class, you're family, or a friend. Discuss how knowledge of the plan affects you're actions, helps you understand you're identity, and has strengthened you're faith."
What does a hug mean for you? How do you feel when someone you love and care about hugs you?
For me, I'm a huger. I love them! They make me feel safe, comforted, warm, loved, and cared for! I would love to start everyday off with a hug!
I began to think about Heavenly Father, and.... H.U.G.S
Helping.Us.Grow.Spiritually
Because when we learn and grow and become closer to him its like a hug!
He is "the Great Parent of the universe, he looks upon the whole of the human family with a fatherly care and parental regard" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 39)
We were sent here to learn and to grow, to come to know God, to be able to go back to live with him.
How do we come to know God?
In Gospel Principles chapter 1 it says;
1. Believe that He exists and that He loves us.
2. Study Scriptures.
3. Pray to Him.
4. Obey all His commandments as best we can.
Now! How does any of this relate to the plan of Salvation?
If our goal is to 1) Grow Spiritually Stronger and 2) Eventually go back to live with Him, then everything should make sense!
So we start by reading our scriptures,
Your life didn’t begin at birth and it won’t end at death. Before you came to earth, your spirit lived with Heavenly Father who created you. You knew Him, and He knew and loved you. It was a happy time during which you were taught God’s plan of happiness and the path to true joy. But just as most of us leave our home and parents when we grow up, God knew you needed to do the same. He knew you couldn’t progress unless you left for a while. So he allowed you to come to earth to experience the joy—as well as pain—of a physical body.
That doesn’t mean He expects you to be perfect. He knows you won’t be. But He does expect that while you’re here on earth you try to the best of your ability to be more like Him and that you learn and grow from your mistakes. Each time you make a poor choice with painful consequences, that decision leads to unhappiness—sometimes immediately, sometimes much later. Likewise, choosing good eventually leads to happiness and helps you become more like Heavenly Father.
Lasting happiness and progression come from choosing to do what God wants us to do. The key word is "choosing." Generally God does not step in and prevent us from making the poor choices Satan tempts us to make. He will, however, offer his love, divine guidance, and warnings when we open our heart to Him.
Picture your hand inside a glove. The glove moves only when your hand does. Take your hand out and the glove sits lifeless on the table. This is an easy way to visualize what happens when you die. Imagine your body is the glove being operated by who you really are—your spirit. When you die your body gets left behind, lifeless like a glove, but your spirit lives forever.
When you’re the one left behind—the one losing a friend or loved one—the pain of that loss is very real. But there’s a lot of comfort in knowing you’ll see him or her again. And because of Christ’s death, at some point our spirit and body will be reunited (resurrected) and made perfect never to be separated again.
Most of us would probably say we want to live forever. That’s exactly what God gave to each of us when He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for us and to atone for our sins. It’s called resurrection and everyone born on earth, even wicked people, will receive this gift of immortality (1 Corinthians 15:22).
On the third day after His Crucifixion, Jesus Christ became the first person to be resurrected. His spirit was reunited with His glorified, perfected body and He could no longer die. When Christ’s friends went to visit His tomb, angels said, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said" (Matthew 28:6).
What we do now affects our life after earth.
I know I am a daughter of Heavenly Father, its my true identity! I know that when I die I will go live with Him and my family! It makes me a stronger person and helps increases my faith knowing all of this!
Until next time peeps
