"Now straighten your knee!!"

The quote for this week comes from my dance instructor, who is very much determined to get us super duper flexible! But I will admit, I love my dance class! No matter how hard and tiring it may be!!

So some run downs of the week,

I made it through my 2nd full week of classes, and here's the crazy thing; our first midterms start in another 2 weeks! Whaaa?! Hahaha apparently though it's just like a normal test, but it's called a midterm... Just go with it.

I also survived my first full week of getting up at 3:30am to go to work!

I love vacuuming me some floors!

I got called this week to be a relief society teacher in my ward, never done that before, but I'm excited! Mainly you should just feel sorry for the women who have to listen to me talk for 40 minutes once a month 😉😉

Oh my little blue smurf! Let me tell you about this thing here at BYU called the creamery! It's amazing, everything from the milk to the icecream! If you ever come to Provo you have to go to the creamery. This is a good thing and a bad thing because the creamery just so happens to be about 50 feet from where I live, thus the horrible habit of going there way more often then I really should hahaha!

Everything is going well here, trying to keep up with everything, but everything is good. I'm just super excited to finally be here!

So I miss all of you tons!
Let me know how it's going!

P,s have I told you how awesome and special each and everyone of you is to me? Because you are!

"You would die" "No I'm gonna fly!"

The title for this week comes from a conversation I had with a friend when they said something about falling off a high building
Me: You would die!"
Them: No, I'm gonna fly!'
Me:...

So wow! I survived my first week in the ocean! Well its not a ocean, but at a school where there is over 30,000 students, you kind of feel like just another fish in the sea.

(Look at picture, this is about 50% of the students here on campus. Need I say more?)

So I started Monday off running trying to find where my classes were, note to self next time I attend a huge university, actually attend the tour at the orientation ;-)

Anyways, so fun things that happened this week...

-I got a job, I wake up at 3:30am everyday and go and clean a building and get off at 7:30am everyday. I like it because by 7:30am you are done with work for the day. Getting up is the not so fun part.
-I applied to get my Utah Cosmetology license and it went through, which means I will be a licensed Utah cosmo in like 3 week!
-I went to a Luau on campus with my roomie, Janelle, and we had a blast dancing for almost 3 hours and meeting people. (It's really hard meeting people here hahaha, you just kinda got to go for it and not hesitate, take the opportune moment #Kairos #CaptainJackSparrowAdvice)

Oh also me and Janelle found Batman 😉

Did I mention that there are a lot of stairs here? No? There tons of stairs here! Every building, every sidewalk, etc etc. but hey at least we get our excersize in #IWorkoutKindOf
Went and saw my advisor this week and I saw this on his desk "ashes of problem student"
He said that there is only one person in the history of his career as an advisor that he would want to do that too hahahaha... My advisor is pretty legit.

Well I know this is sort of a short post today but we have a ton going on and not enough hours in the day too do it all

I love you all so much!
Till next week,
Kimmy xoxo

Week one: I got a year pass to all the national parks in America!

So I will be posting here weekly to keep all of my family and friends up to date with life here at the Y (Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah)
So me and my mom left on Sunday and drove all over the west side of the country. We got too see tons of places, parks, people, eat lots of different kinds of food, and even hike into some mountains.
We went to Wamego Kansas where they have the wizard of oz museum (which by the way was super awesome!)

And then we headed over to the great sand dunes in Colorado. We had tons of fun and were covered in sand by the end, but hey we got our exercise in for
 the day.

We tried driving up to Mesa Verde Colorado, but by the time we made it there it was too dark too see anything.
We then traveled all the way over the the land of enchantment and spent the night in Santa Fe, where the oldest church in America is. It was really awesome going in and they even let you ring the original bell!!

Me and mom spent most of the day in Santa Fe and did some shopping before hitting the road again.
We headed too the Grand Canyon next but made an impromptu stop at the Painted Deseret and the Petrified Forest where we hiked for a while and bought a traveling cactus named Arizona which now sits on the dash of my car.

We were heading up to Zions national park when (and if you have ever traveled with me you know I stop like almost every 20 minutes hahaha!)
We saw a sign for a paleontology museum. We went in and found out it was a recent dig (started in 2000) where they had already found 20 new species of dinosaurs! It is currently the largest amount of land being dug for fossils in the USA.

We finally made it too Zion's and hiked there for about 3 hours. We were able to hike down into the canyon which was super awesome! And we even got too see some mountain goats.

Finally after almost 5 days on the road (have I mentioned that I stop a lot?) we made it too Provo (even if it was -15 degrees...)

I met my awesome roommate Janelle Yuen Ting, she is from Malaysia and this is also her first semester at BYU. It's super awesome because we are both majoring in Biology and taking Spanish #StudyBuddy
